Building a coaching culture |
|
Adopting a coaching culture does not only mean that managers engage their staff systematically in structured coaching conversations.
It means that human resources are treated with respect and dignity, that diverse opportunities for development are offered at all levels, and that each person is seen not only as he is but as he may become. Accepting and embracing genuinely this vision of human resources is for many people a significant change of view
and can be activated only through the leaders' journey through self-reflection about their role, their attitude to coaching, the current and desired relationship between boss and staff, and on the personal vision of "who" each leader wants to be. This space for reflection can lead to a personal evolution that can incorporate coaching and greater emotional intelligence in the management of people. Only at this point we act so that the organisation can equip its leaders and managers with the coaching competencies and instruments required.
This is the frame of reference for the development of the coaching culture implemented in organisations by Life Coach Lab.
